Community Town Hall: Special Education Rights
Join FATE for an open community conversation about special education rights, IEPs, and how families can advocate for their children. Share your experience and connect with other families.
Events
FATE holds town halls, listening sessions, workshops, and community forums across the region. Find an event near you — or bring one to your community.
Every FATE event is an opportunity for families to connect, learn their rights, share their experiences, and organize for change. Our events are free and open to all families, educators, advocates, and community members.
What We Host
Open community meetings where families share experiences, identify common problems, and organize collective responses. Town halls are the heart of FATE's organizing work.
Practical educational sessions covering special education law, parent rights, IEP processes, school board procedures, and how to be an effective advocate for your child.
Public forums examining school board decisions, district policies, and official conduct — with community members asking the questions that matter.
Smaller, focused gatherings where FATE listens to families in specific communities or around specific issues. Your story matters and helps shape our advocacy.
