Get Involved

This Fight Needs You.

FATE is built by families, for families. Every parent who joins, every community member who shows up, every advocate who speaks out makes us stronger. Here's how you can be part of the work.

How to Help

Six Ways to Get Involved

Join FATE

Become a FATE member and connect with families across your community who are fighting for accountability, transparency, and equity in public education.

FATE membership is free and open to all families, educators, advocates, and community members who share our values. As a member, you'll receive updates on issues and events, opportunities to participate in advocacy campaigns, and connection to a growing network of families who refuse to be ignored.

Attend a Town Hall

Show up to a FATE town hall, workshop, or listening session in your community. Your presence matters — and your story can change things.

FATE events are free, open to all, and designed to turn individual frustration into collective power. Town halls give families a space to share experiences, learn their rights, and organize together. Find an event near you or ask us to bring one to your community.

Share Your Story

Your experience with the school system is evidence. When families share what happened to them, it helps FATE identify patterns, build cases, and demand systemic change.

Too many families have been told their experience is an isolated incident. It isn't. When you share your story with FATE, you help us connect the dots — identifying patterns of failure, building the record of systemic problems, and amplifying the voices that institutions try to silence.

Start a Chapter

Bring FATE to your school district. Local chapters are the engine of our organizing — connecting families in the same district and building sustained community power.

FATE chapters organize at the school district level, where the decisions that affect your children are actually made. Starting a chapter means building a network of families in your district, attending school board meetings together, and creating a sustained presence that institutions can't ignore.

Volunteer

FATE runs on the energy of volunteers. Whether you can give an hour a month or a day a week, there's meaningful work you can do to support families in your community.

Volunteers help FATE with event support, community outreach, translation and interpretation, social media, research, and more. We match volunteers with opportunities that fit their skills, availability, and interests. No experience required — just commitment to the cause.

Donate

FATE's work is funded by people who believe families deserve better. Your donation supports town halls, workshops, advocacy campaigns, and the families who need us most.

Every dollar donated to FATE goes directly to supporting families and funding advocacy work. We keep our overhead low and our impact high. Your contribution — whatever the amount — helps us show up for families who have nowhere else to turn.
